Spiderman cake
Oh dear...another one. I hate sculpting. Mostly because I don't know how and sugarpaste dries so quickly, then it gets cracky and icky. So, I am working on it. Will have the results by the weekend. So far the idea is to make a cake look like a tall building ( I think they call those skyscrapers) with a point on the top and have a spiderman "climb" it. Good luck with that one !

Baby shower cake
This was my first order. I got the picture of the cake of the internet and basicly copied it. The bottom tier was vanilla, the second - chocolate, both filled with buttercream. Originally I made pink shoes (out of gumpaste), and I think they looked adorable. But the pink on the shoes clashed with the cake pink, so I ended up making new shoes and I just left them white.
Notes to myself: the top tier should have been smaller (6"?), need bigger base, give myself more time to make topper (maybe have three different options).

Easter cake
This was chocolate cake with yogurt frosting filled with pieces of jello. Finished with royal icing and raspberries.
Leg Lamp cake from the Christmas story movie.
This was for my father in law 70th birthday. He loves the movie, so I decided to do the leg lamp cake. I bought the manequin leg online, made the shoe from paper, colored gray with glitter.
I think it was at least 8 layers of cake: vanilla, chocolate and morengue.
Finished product looked pretty good. It was a lucky thing that the whole thing didn't topple over as it wasn't secured to the board at the bottom or the cake board wasn't secured to the leg at the top. The cake was heavy enough to stay put. We took the cake part of from the leg for cutting.

Frog cake
I think this one is one of my favorites so far. Turned out very nice. The flower adds a nice touch. The cake was poppy seed yellow cake with layers of moreng and caramel buttercream. Finished with rolled fondant.
I guess I forgot about botom layer of chocolate. It's been couple of years since I made it.
Snail cake
Another child's birthday cake happened to be a SNAIL cake. So I looked at a lot of different snail pictures, animated mostly. At first I thought about some kind of twisted shell kind of house, but it ended up being a regular looking house with shingles and snail's head peaking out. Here is the picture:
I added some rasins for dirt and some gummy worms, as the boys love the worms.
